Keto Spiced Venison on Cauliflower Rice

This recipes is for all the Keto peeps out there where meat is actually a big part of the diet. It’s becoming increasingly common for people to try out a Keto diet for health reasons and it can be a bit tricky to get the hang of it when you are starting out. So here’s a Keto friendly dish that looks and tastes amazing and of course uses our prime Venison cuts!

Ingredients (1 person meal)

  • 1/2 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1/4 Cup Light Soya Sauce
  • Dash ground cumin
  • Dash of chilli flakes
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Dash of almond flour
  • Cooking Fat (we used venison tallow)
  • Cauliflower Rice
  • 150g Diced Venison Steak (Haunch, Fillet, Tenderloin)

Method

First coat the diced venison in salt and pepper and your dash of almond flour. You don’t need much almond flour, just get a light coating on the steak dice.

Heat a frying pan up with a knob of Venison Tallow until its super hot. If you have a cast iron skillet even better! Then toss the dice into the frying pan and do not touch it until the side is seared. Gently move the dice onto another side and sear again. Repeat until all the sides are perfectly seared, they should look golden and crispy. Remove from the heat and leave to one side.

In a separate pan, on medium heat add garlic and ginger and cook for a few minutes. Then add the soya sauce, cumin and chilli. Cook out some of the water a bit then leave it on low.

Put your cooked diced steak into the saucepan with the sauce in it. Stir it so it is coated then turn off the heat.

Fry up your cauliflower rice in your meat saucepan for a few minutes then plate. Top with the diced venison, being careful not to scoop up extra sauce. Then add a drizzle of sauce to your plate according to your taste. You won’t need much, there will be plenty of flavour on your diced steak already.

Enjoy!
